SLOVENIA is a small country situated just south of the central European mountain range. With a population exceeding 2 million people, we are known to be on the “Sunny Side of the Alps”. Slovenia’s history is rich and diverse, leaving a distinct mark on the local population. Slovenians are hardworking, warm and hospitable people, who will always welcome you into their homes with open arms.
The town of BOVEC is located in the north-western corner of Slovenia in the valley of the beautiful Soča river at the foothills of Mount Rombon.
With its breathtaking scenery, a turquoise river Soča and proximity of many mountain peaks; a vacation in Bovec is suitable for all. You can take a relaxing break from busy every day life, or plan a child-friendly family adventure or an outing for active seniors.
In the summer months, we offer a number of adrenalin filled water sports on the Soča River, biking and hiking trips and in the winter the main attraction is our expansive mountain ski resort Kanin. As the only high altitude ski resort in Slovenia, it offers a long season of natural snow and views all the way to the bay of Trieste, sometimes even to the Kvaerner.
Our BOVEC HOUSE is located in the old center of town within a short walking distance of all amenities; including a supermarket, news agency, souvenir shop, post office and bank. Close by, you will also find many restaurants and bars, as well as the Tourist information center and also a childrens playground.
In our outdoor sports agency BOVEC ŠPORT CENTER, we will gladly assist you with the planning of your vacation activities.
